Different Designs of Compression Socks in California Vein & Vascular Centers

If you’re familiar with compression stockings you’ll know that they come in different brands, sizes and strengths and are worn for comfort, athletic performance and medical conditions like pregnancy, varicose veins and peripheral artery disease.

Basically, compression stockings improve your blood flow. They can lessen pain and swelling in your legs. They can also lower your chances of getting deep vein thrombosis, a kind of blood clot, and other circulation problems.

Often I am asked which compression stockings or socks do I recommend to my patients. I asked my patients to share some of their favorites with me. Remember to speak with your doctor about which style, fit and compression level are best for you.
